An excellent stay  - looking forward to going back again.

Meals:  You can have breakfast and bar meals there.  We found the breakfast very filling  as it was buffet style and a wide enough choice :full English ,cereal, yoghurt, toast  hot and cold drinks.

Staff: Full of great Northern friendliness, and if they did not know an answer to a guest's question, they made an effort to find someone who does.

Location excellent:  Next to the Pleasure Beach, 200m to Sands Water-world ,200m to Tram Stop 250m to beach. You are 1.5 miles to town or the tower so a nice walk along the prom or a quick tip by tram which stops nearby.

Hotels in Blackpool conjure up images of dingy B&B.s, terrible seaside land ladies, and very strict rules. These are probably the exception these days but it was such a pleasure to stay at The Travel Lodge South Promenade Blackpool. Staying in a large chain lets you know the quality of the hotel in advance. This hotel has recently been refurbished so it was clean, comfortable and warm. The rooms very spacious especially the bathroom, plenty og hot water, very important when staying as a family.

The mattress and pillows clean and the mattress was one of the most comfortable I have experienced. There was a large TV on the wall, some storage areas and a writing desk gave the room everything it needed without being cluttered. Parking at the hotel is  limited and tight but there are two very large car parks near by.

The hotel is pet friendly and WiFi is available for a small charge.

Overall rating: Extremely Good.
